In 1996, a group of children learned the shocking truth that their teacher, Miss Malarkey, did not in fact live in their classroom in Room 10. It was a discovery that would shock the minds of children everywhere.

As teachers, we have all had the experience of being characterized, valued, or even identified solely based on our role as education professionals. But we aren’t just teachers. We are mothers, poets, athletes, bakers, and gamers. We are so many things, and our lives and experiences have shaped who we are as people and, yes, as teachers. So, while this is a blog written by teachers, it isn’t about teaching. This is a blog about all the things we are when we aren’t in the classroom.
